With fall quickly approaching, I'm finding myself scrambling trying to make the most of the last days of summer before the cold weather sets in. Since Canadian winters turn me into a slothlike hermit, I'm always longing for warm weather to enjoy the various outdoor activities and restaurants Toronto has to offer. Growing up in a small town where chain restaurants reign supreme, the most exotic thing I ate growing up was a California roll from the grocery store (not kidding, sadly). Even when I was a student at the University of Toronto, I didn't venture outside the confines of the campus walls and ate overpriced, unhealthy food inbetween classes. It wasn't until I permanently moved here three years ago that I experienced the independent and diverse restaurants this city has to offer. From hole in the wall gems on Queen Street to boujee restaurants in Yorkville where you can barely pronounce anything on the menu (or maybe that's just me), there is literally something for everyone.
With my brother working as a journalist, I'm constantly sending him pictures and post ideas for feedback. When I sent him the title and cover photo for this post his response was, "$200? Wear a tee and Levi's". My brother seems to be under the impression you can find sunglasses, shoes, a romper and purse all under fifty dollars. Bless him. Since the fit of rompers and jumpsuits are never consistent, I decided not to impulsively purchase this online without trying it on in the store first. With the pearl buttons and lace detailing, the construction and fit of this romper is so flattering and can easily be paired with flats or heels, depending on the occasion.
